Choosing the Best Rocks
Share
The use of Limestone, in particular Texas Holey Rock, in an Aquarium is an important topic for Fish Keepers. Those who have put time into this hobby most likely already know all about it. For someone just getting started, this is what you need to know. Limestone itself isn't dangerous to any fish but when it is added to water it reacts resulting in a higher pH level which is dangerous for any aquatic pet that requires an acidic, low-level pH environment. For a Cichlid or anything else that thrives in a more alkaline, elevated pH situation this rock is good choice because of it's beneficial properties.
